ART ON VIEW More LightSmall Works Exhibit at Northern Daughters in Vergennes through January 28, 2018. The exhibition features small works from six artists who work in a range of media, including watercolor, oil painting, encaustic and collage. The show will include new works from Anne Cady, Pamela Smith, and Sobelman Cortapega, all of whom are regularly exhibited at Northern Daughters, as well as three artists exhibiting with NoDa for the first time: Edward Holland, Julia Jensen, and Molly Bosley. ART ON VIEW Holiday Show!Print sale at Two Rivers Printmaking Studio in White River Junction through January 31, 2018. The exhibition features small matted prints at $40 each or three for $100. They make great gifts. Two Rivers Printmaking Studio supports working artists in their exploration of both traditional and experimental printmaking. FROM VERMONT ART GUIDE #5 Cuts in the LightThe current issue of the print magazine has a profile of mixed media artist Ashley Roark. Particularly interested in creating collections using post-industrial office supplies. In January 2016, she opened Plus or Minus Studio in the Soda Plant on Pine Street in Burlington's South End Arts District. ART ON VIEW The Book of ChangesElizabeth Nelson at the Highland Center for the Arts in Greensboro through February 2, 2018. Nelson is best known for her images of Northeastern landscapes. Her work has been shown since the late 1980s and has been presented in juried shows for nearly as long. She is represented by galleries in New York and Vermont and has won commissions for public art. Neither a young nor obscure artist, one can believe her when she says, "Every so often artists come to the end of what they’re exploring."
