ART ON VIEW Everything All TogetherHannah Secord Wade at Northern Daughters in Vergennes through April 29, 2018. Opening Reception, Friday, March 23rd, 5-8PM. "Everything All Together" began as a hoarding of landscape, with scraps of earth and debris gathered into large mounds, and contained for a time. Each piece depicts an action, as land is moved and shifted, contained and then cleansed," Hannah Secord Wade explains. She describes a cycle through which the mounds decompose or wash away and must be continuously rebuilt. Her work stirs a feeling of constant motion as things are piled, buried, submerged, washed away and then piled again. MORE |
